• Suggested Applications: This is a universal standard style needle that works on a wide verity of fabrics and works best on regular quilting cotton. 

Size 14 needles are ideal for working with very delicate fabrics, and thin layers and very thin batting, as well as working with thin weight threads.

Size 16 needles are ideal for working with normal quilting fabrics with not very many seams, as well as normal weight batting. Works great with cotton and polyester threads that are 40-50wt.

Size 18 needles are ideal for quilts with more complex seams and quilts that have many seams in a small distance. Also works well with cotton and polyester threads that are 40-50wt.

Size 20 needles are ideal for quilts with dense appliques, fusible interfacing, as well as specialty fabrics. Also when working with thicker and specialty threads. This is your largest needle you can use on the Juki longarms.
